In the Users & Contacts section of the Partner details page you'll see two columns, "Key Contact" and "Primary Contact":



Here's what they mean:

  • The Primary Contact is the person responsible for the Partner Organization within your partner portal and generally has elevated permissions to request/disable other Users at the Partner and/or edit the Partner's profile information (this is configurable in Settings > Partners > Partner Module Settings). There can only be one Primary Contact per Partner Organization.
  • Key Contacts do not have any additional privileges but are a way to highlight the important people at a Partner and have them appear in the Overview section of the Partner details page. There can any number of Key Contacts in a Partner Organization.


How to specify the Primary Contact by editing the Partner:

  • Edit the Partner Organization
  • Select from the Primary Contact dropdown:



How to set the Primary Contact flag on the User:

  • Edit the Contact or User
  • Check or uncheck the "Primary Contact" box:


How to set the Key Contact flag on the User:

  • Edit the Contact or User
  • Check or uncheck the "Key Contact" box:
