This article provides an overview of Channeltivity’s Deal Registration integration with Salesforce. Please also see the Deal Registration Salesforce Integration Setup instructions.

Channeltivity’s Deal Registration integration with Salesforce makes it easy to get your Partners’ registered Deals from Channeltivity into your Salesforce CRM. Following the illustration below, the integration can be explained in three steps:

  1. Once a Partner submits a new Deal registration, Channeltivity creates a copy of the registered Deal as a Lead within Salesforce. This can be configured to happen automatically or on a manual basis.
  2. Changes made to the Deal in Channeltivity are reflected in Salesforce and vice versa.
  3. Should you decide to convert a Salesforce Lead to an Opportunity, Channeltivity will recognize this and maintain the link to the corresponding record.

Can Salesforce Opportunities be imported into Channeltivity as Deals?

Yes, Salesforce Opportunities can be imported into Channeltivity as Deal Registrations. Learn more about this topic here: How do I create Deal Registrations from Salesforce Opportunities in my PRM?

Is the integration bi-directional?

Yes, the Deal Registration integration is a true bi-bidirectional integration. Your Deal Registration integration field mappings allow you to determine the data flow between the Deal in Channeltivity and the corresponding Lead/Opportunity Salesforce.

Why does Channeltivity create a Lead in Salesforce vs. an Opportunity?

The reason Channeltivity creates Leads instead of Opportunities is because Opportunities have to be associated with an Account and Contact in Salesforce, and every company has its own unique guidelines for establishing those associations. Since the rules vary across companies, we felt it was best to create Leads instead of Opportunities to allow Users to select the relevant Account/Contact when converting the Lead to an Opportunity.

How can I push Deals into Salesforce as Opportunities instead of Leads?

By design, Channeltivity will always create a Lead in SalesforceHowever, there's a free AppExchange component that allows you to automatically convert Leads to Opportunities, or you can use Salesforce's After-save Record-Triggered Flow and call an Apex method to automatically convert the Leads created by Channeltivity into Opportunities. See this article for a walkthrough.

How are the "Sync with Channeltivity" checkboxes on the Salesforce Lead and Opportunity used?

The fields are used by and automatically set by Channletivity to flag/identify the Salesforce Leads and Opportunities that are syncing with Channeltivity. Learn more about this topic here
