  • Contacts - applies to Partner and Distributor Organizations

    • End-User Accounts & Contacts - applies to Partner and Distributor Organizations 
  • Leads - applies to Partner and Distributor Organizations 
  • Referrals - applies to Partner Organizations 
  • Business Plans - applies to Partner and Distributor Organizations 
  • MDF Requests and Transactions - applies to Partner and Distributor Organizations 


To prevent the loss of historical data associated with Partner and Distributor Organizations, we recommend updating the Status of Partner and Distributor Organizations to "Inactive" instead of deleting them. This will ensure that the historical data mentioned above is preserved while also revoking portal access from the Users who are associated with the Organizations.


Deleting an Organization: 


Organizations are the companies that Users and Contacts belong to in Channeltivity. Here's a list of the four types of Organizations:


  • Internal Organizations are stored under the "Admin" module in the left navigation menu > Organizations. 
    • Admin Users can view all four types of Organizations from the "Organizations" tab in the Admin module.
  • Partner Organizations are stored under the "Partner Management" module in the left navigation menu.
  • Distributor Organizations are stored under the "Distributor Management" module in the left navigation menu. 
  • End-User Accounts are stored under the "Deal Registration" module in the left navigation menu > Accounts. 


You can delete Internal, Partner, and Distributor Organizations by going to the module in which the Organization is located and clicking on the name of the Organization that you wish to delete. 


You'll then click the "Actions" button in the top right of the Organization's Details Page > Delete. 


Click the "I wish to proceed"checkbox to confirm the deletion of the Organization and all associated entities > Delete. 



To delete an End-User Account, you'll go to the "Deal Registration" module in the left navigation menu and select "Accounts." 


Click on the name of the Account that you wish to delete to view its details. 


You'll then click the "Delete" button in the top right. 


Click the "I wish to proceed" checkbox to confirm that you wish to delete the Account as well as any associated Deals, Leads, and End-User Contacts > Delete. 



FAQs:


If I delete a Partner Organization, will it also delete the linked Account in Salesforce?

Deleting a Partner Organization will not delete the linked Salesforce Account and vice versa.
