The Rich Text Widget is a flexible content block for your home page that lets you display announcements and other detailed information in an engaging way. It supports different formatting options, including bold, italics, headings, lists, and hyperlinks, and allows you to embed images or videos. Essentially, it gives you control over the appearance and structure of your text without requiring coding skills.
Follow the instructions listed below to configure the Rich Text Widget:
1. Logged in as an Administrator, go to your home page, and click the Actions button > Layout Editor.
2. You'll then select the "Rich Text" Widget from the sidebar on the right and drag it over to the desired location on the page (see Tutorial on Custom Pages).
3. Enter the title of the Widget along with your content.
4. Specify which Users will see the Widget on the home page using the below permission options:
- Everyone: All Users
- Selected Groups: Only Users in the selected Groups
- Smart Permissions: All Users that match the rules that you specify
- No One: Only Admin Users and Internal Users with Content Administration access

5. Click "Save" to save your changes.
