The date format is wrong when I export data from Channeltivity into Excel. How do I fix this?

Depending on the country settings of your computer and your version of Excel, date columns in Excel files of Lead, Deal Registration, MDF or other data exported from Channeltivity's PRM are sometimes not recognized. Instead of showing up as dates, the column data appears as text, which makes it difficult to sort and filter.


This article explains how to convert the data.






Step 1: Go to the "Data" tab in Excel


Depending on your version of Excel, the layout might be different.



Step 2: Select the column of data to fix


You can fix one column at a time



Step 3: Use the "Text to Columns" feature to force Excel to parse the data


Press the "Text to Columns" button to bring up the wizard and then simply press "Finish".





Step 4: You're done
