Channeltivity provides a standard approval workflow out of the box for your SPIFF Claims approval process. Each Status represents a step in the approval cycle and helps track where a Claim currently stands. The Claim Statuses settings allow you to manage the workflow by adding, removing, renaming, or reconfiguring statuses to match your organization’s SPIFF approval process.
To add a new Claim Status:
- Go to Settings > SPIFF > Claim Statuses.
- Click the New button.

- In the New Claim Status window, enter a Name for the Status (for example, Submitted, In Review, Approved, or Declined).
- Under Type, select one of the following options:
- Open – For active Claims that are still being reviewed or processed.
- Closed, Approved – For completed Claims that have been approved.
- Closed, Declined – For completed Claims that have been declined.

To edit or delete an existing Status, hover over the item you wish to edit or delete and click the Actions button that appears to the right to make your changes.

Click the Reorder button and drag Statuses into the desired sequence. This determines the order in which statuses appear in dropdown menus and workflows.
