The Library provides Partners with self-service access to marketing resources, sales tools, technical documentation, and more. It also allows you to control access to content uploaded to the Library using the Groups functionality. Learn more about this topic here: Setting Group Permissions for Library Content.

Library Folders are used to organize and catalog channel resources and other content uploaded to the Partner Library. It's important the Partner understands the folder structure so that they can quickly find the content they need, when they need it. It also helps to ensure they keep coming back to the portal to obtain the materials needed to sell your products and services.

When creating your folder structure, we recommend reviewing the Partner-facing content you have and grouping the content by type, product, solution, or category. If you don't have a lot of content, a simple top-level structure may be all you need. Remember, the fewer clicks, the better.

Based on the portals of many of our customers, the prevailing top-level structure looks similar to the following examples:

Example 1:

  • Partner Program Info
  • Marketing Resources
  • Sales Resources
  • Technical Resources
  • Training Materials
  • Promotions

Example 2:

  • Program Overview
  • Logos and Templates
  • Newsletters
  • Case Studies
  • Datasheets
  • Products/Solutions
  • How-To Guides
  • Videos
  • Price Books/Lists

If you have a large number of documents, creating logical sub-folders can make it easier to stay organized and find content quickly. However, too many subfolders can make it difficult to find and maintain content, so try to build a structure that supports the amount of content you currently have. You can always add additional folders and move content to new folders later.
