What is the Zapier Integration?
Channeltivity’s integration with Zapier allows you to connect your PRM with 1000s (view apps here: https://zapier.com/apps) of other web applications to share information, automate tasks, and workflows. Some examples include:
- Sending customized email notifications about new and updated Deals
- Calling a webhook when a partner completes a Course or Certification
- Automatically scoring new Prospective Partners
- Updating Google Sheets with Deal Registration data
- Triggering updates in Channeltivity when certain actions are completed in Salesforce, such as updating or closing an Opportunity
For a full list of triggers and actions, view our integration page on Zapier.
Is coding required?
Coding is not required. Zapier allows you to create point and click integrations without developer help.
How does it work?
It all starts with a Zap. A Zap is an automated workflow between Channeltivity and another app. For example, you may have a Zap that pushes Deal Registration data into a Google Sheet. You may have another Zap that sends an email notification every time a Deal is changed to a specific status in Channeltivity.
Zaps consist of at least two parts:
- Trigger- A Trigger is the event in an app that starts the Zap, such as an updated or new Deal in Channeltivity or any other event in a Zapier-connected system.
Zapier - Channeltivity Trigger
- Action - The Action is the event that completes the Zap. Actions include sending custom emails, updating Salesforce records, Deal Registrations, Google Sheets, and more.
Zapier - Google Sheets Action
Besides the mandatory Trigger and Action steps of a Zap, you may also want to add Filters to ensure Actions get performed only on the items you want. With Filters, you set a specific condition (e.g., when the "Registration Status" field is "Approved") to get to the granularity you need. When the data from your Zap meets the conditions of a filter, it proceeds to the next action(s) in your Zap. Learn more about Filters here: https://zapier.com/apps/filter/help
