When you create a new User, Channeltivity will attempt to automatically match the User to an Organization using the User's email address and the list of domains associated with the Organization. Here's an example:
- Let's assume you have a Partner called "ACME Partner" in Channeltivity with the associated email domains "acmepartner.com" and "acmepartner.co.uk" (you can manage domains on the Organization's details page).
- If you try to add a new User with one of the above email domains Channeltivity will automatically assign that User to ACME Partner.
Can automatic assignment be prevented?
You can prevent User auto-assignment by making sure the User's email domain is not associated with any Organization and/or adding it to the Ignored Email Domains list.
