This article gives step-by-step setup instructions of Channeltivity’s Lead Distribution integration with Salesforce. An overview of Channeltivity’s Lead Distribution Salesforce Integration can be found in this article.

You will need to have completed the following steps in order to set up Channeltivity's Lead Distribution integration with Salesforce:

Step 1: Enable the Integration in Channeltivity

Log into Channeltivity as an Administrator and go to Settings > Salesforce Integration > Lead Distribution.

Enable the integration by selecting Bi-Directional Sync. If you've already configured the Salesforce Deal Registration integration, then you'll notice the "Channeltivity Sync" checkboxes that you created on the Lead and Opportunity objects in Salesforce are also used in the Lead Distribution integration. The checkboxes allow you to flag the records that you want to import into Channeltivity as Leads.

Step 2: Configure Field Mappings

Scroll down to the field mappings section, where you will specify the flow of data between Channeltivity and Salesforce. You'll see two tabs:

  • Channeltivity Lead and Salesforce Lead
  • Channeltivity Lead and Salesforce Opportunity

Each tab has its own set of standard field mappings connected by a button that indicates the sync direction/data flow. You can update the data flow for existing mappings by clicking on the buttons and add additional field mappings by clicking the "Add Mapping" button. Learn more about this topic in this article: Salesforce Integration: Field Mapping Configuration.

Once all your mappings are complete, press the "Save" button at the very bottom of the page to finish the setup process. Depending on the details of your Salesforce configuration, the saving process can take up to 30 minutes.

Step 3: Test the Integration

When the setup process is complete, you will be redirected to the Salesforce Integration Settings page, and you can start importing Leads and Opportunities from Salesforce using Channeltivity's managed Salesforce package or flagging them for import using the "Sync with Channeltivity" checkboxes.
